Abstract
  • This doctor of ministry project is an analysis of barriers to growth at 400 in average worship attendance. The research is based on personal interviews with Norman Shawchuck, Lyle Schaller, Leith Anderson and Robert Logan (all church growth authors and consultants). Ten pastors were also interviewed to share how they personally led churches past 400. Chapter 3 summarizes the research in a 'church growth pyramid' of prioritized elements necessary to grow past 400. The study prioritized steps for the Homewood Church.
