Abstracto

The focus of this project was exploration of the practice of hospitality with a local church located in a community of changing ethnic, cultural and socio-economic identity not fully reflected in the membership of the local church. The methodology included a survey, preaching and teaching about hospitality, group participant journals and field notes. The findings revealed an increased understanding of the importance and complexity of the practice of hospitality in the church. The hypothesis was proven that the church lacked a holistic understanding of hospitality, but could be effectively addressed through a small group process of practice and reflection.
