This project examines manifest and latent reasons for the severity of the economic challenge now faced by Canadian churches due to a shift in the economic structure. Academic research, historical and anecdotal, confirms that parishes can best endure economic difficulty by adopting a proactive program encouraging changes in information distribution, preaching and teaching, and organizational structure. A faith community has power to regenerate itself in the face of severe and life-altering circumstances.
