  • The purpose of this ministry project was to measure the effectiveness of Bowenian family systems theory in formulating a mission statement for a church. Chapter 2 presents a biblical rationale for the research by using 1 Corinthians as an example of a church that had experienced transition. Chapter 3 presents the behavioral and social science data that support the ministry project research on family systems. Chapter 4 describes the implementation of the ministry project and the criteria that led the author to his conclusions.
