  • Laos is one of the strongest Buddhist countries in Southeast Asia. Laotians who convert to Christianity are considered to be traitors to their family, their country, and their king. To be a good Laotian, one must be a faithful Buddhist throughout life. The author, who is Laotian, has developed a method of presenting the gospel, which contextualizes Laotians' understanding of God. Family ties are the most important factor in Lao culture and custom. Therefore, the author used the concept of God as the Creator and Father of mankind, which led 32 out of 50 people to the Lord. A strong relationship must be cultivated in order to see the result.
