  • This project proposes that a group of persons selected from various segments of the congregation can effectively identify common pastoral care issues, engage in practical theological reflection about these issues using scripture, psychology, and theology, and become more significant care givers in the process. The collaborative preaching model was adopted, with some slight modifications, as the project model. The project concluded that collaborative preaching is an effective means of addressing common pastoral care issues and was most effective in enabling the participants to become more significant care givers.
