- Abstract
- This thesis project employs the metaphor of reading landscapes to explore the spirituality of women who teach in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Wellington, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Various aspects of the women's lives are read: the broader ANZ and Archdiocesan context in which they teach, the spiritual landscape and in particular the geographic landscape which they inhabit. Also explored are the ways in which these women read the Bible. The final chapter presents a plan of a resource to enable women to read the Bible and the landscape together for their spiritual enrichment. The method used throughout this thesis project is the three stage hermeneutical approach developed by Sandra Schneiders.
