Abstrait

The purpose of this study was to discover the process that clergy use to make the decision to move to another church. It asked the question: how do clergy determine the calling of God as it relates to the decision to move to another church? In order to develop the database necessary to answer this question, a survey was developed that elicited responses from a random sample of Baptist General Conference pastoral staff. When making the decision to change churches, clergy tend to focus on issues such as: obedience to God's commands, prayer, Scripture, and the counsel of mature Christians.
