The aim of this project was to involve laypersons in generating ideas for, providing input in, and evaluating the effectiveness of sermons. The project provided a formal structure for mutual sharing between clergy and laity, with the intent of meeting felt needs within the congregation. The methodology involved a survey of the congregation to surface needs, the training of a group of people to give feedback to the preacher, and discussion to prepare sermons and to evaluate their effectiveness.
