The purpose of this project was to enhance the project director's skills in pastoral preaching in order to increase the congregation's awareness of spiritual maturity. In order to do this, the project director researched sermons and created a sermon model. The project directory created eight part model sermons to his congregation during Sunday worship. A group of experts assessed the model sermons and their assessments were used to determine the sermons’ effect and reach. From the research and assessments the project director was able to find the key factors of sermon skills and made a plan to improve sermon skills. He also looked at the before and after of the congregation’s spiritual awareness to find changes and made that the focus of his results. Through all of this, the project director was able to find ways to enhance self-improvement and sermon skills.
