Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to discover how spiritual maturity influences lay involvement in ministry. The primary methods of assessment were quantitative surveys. The data gathered was analyzed based on nine different facets of spiritual maturity. This study found there is a positive correlation between ministry involvement and spiritual maturity. The facet of spiritual maturity that most positively associates with ministry participation is involvement in a small group community. The data also revealed that the lack of a sense of identity, unrecognized empowerment, unaddressed brokenness, improper priorities, and poor community attachment have a negative influence on ministry involvement.
