- This project adopts some of the premises of the STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) Program which is designed for use with children. It helps adult children understand that an elderly parent's problem behavior can be based on discouragement. Behavioral modification methods can be used to lend encouragement to elderly parents, to build better family relationships, to support the elderly's decision-making, and to enable them to sustain and deepen faith in God. Adult children gain insight into their own aging, relationships and faith.
