The project's purpose was to lead the First Baptist Church of Homer, New York, through the process of developing mission and vision statements, purpose statements and job descriptions for subordinate committees. It will outline and evaluate the process the leadership used to develop formal mission and vision statements for the church's ministry, the purpose statements for each of the governing commissions, and the job descriptions for the personnel serving on those commissions. This project will research from a biblical perspective, citing Old and New Testament examples, why the style of organization outlined is justified as an appropriate strategy.
