  • God's conspirators: a theology of ministry for mainline pastors today
Astratto
  • While mainline denominations remain unsettled, committed pastors must daily decide how to go forward. This project structures a rich collegial conversation for them, and for those commissioned by the church to form them. Pastors are cautioned away from quick fixes, and instead encouraged to follow the age-old leading of God's Spirit. Insights drawn from scripture, varying church experiences, contemporary social studies, experiential theologies, and a dynamic ecumenical pilot project, progressively combine to show how pastors might proceed; and further, how they might collegially lead one another through a replicable apprenticeship in becoming more competent and confident in this adventure.
