Abstrait

The purpose of this project was to develop an effective training model of preaching for Taiwanese seminarians with little experience in public speaking. The research question addressed in this project is: What training model was effective for training purpose? This model was evaluated by three Taiwanese professors and three Taiwanese pastors. This project involves two areas: (1) training strategies and (2) training contents. The training strategies utilize Joyce's training model, which includes: demonstration, simulated practice, simulated environments, small groups, technology, and individual instruction. The training contents include: finding the subject, outlining, introduction, conclusion, illustration, delivery, audience interaction, and modern multimedia.
