  • This project explores the biblical framework of the Christian goal of social transformation in an unjust world. Within the Old Testament, the following are covered: creation; exodus; lawmaking; equality; top-down development; justice; wisdom; cultural issues; rehabilitation; and the messianic vision. The New Testament provides insights on incarnation, the kingdom, discipling, sharing, servanthood, spiritual gifts, mission strategies, relating evangelism and social action, church and parachurch roles, and the future. Supporting chapters provide indepth studies of the exodus and the kingdom as well as a description of the context of the Indian Sub-continent.
