- Young urban males (18-30) who grew up in poverty feel they are unable to become leaders in church and community. These young urban males must oversome external systemic forces of poverty as well as the 13 internal negative forces, voices, and mindsets that victimize, paralyze, and isolate them from even beginning their journey toward wholeness and leadership. The author researched by means of hexagoning focus groups, theological reflection, and literature review.
