  • The study of Latin American liberation theology can result in the development of a Unitarian Universalist liberation theology and motivate church outreach. The method of study included research, a five-week study curriculum and three questionnaires. The goals of the curriculum led to the consideration of a Unitarian Universalist theology of liberation (and other meaningful insights), but not enough time was allotted to measure motivation for church outreach. The challenge facing liberal religion in an age of 'theology from below' is addressed by this study. The final chapter presents a Unitarian Universalist liberation theology.
