Abstract
  • This project is an attempt to provide an appropriate theology of preaching in the Korean context. Even though there have emerged many theologies in the world since the radical theological movements of the 1960s, none of these theologies have been sufficient or proper contextual theologies for Korea. This theology is in fact an integreation and supplementation of two Korean contextual theologies: Minjung and Tochakwha theologies. Therefore, this theology is the direct expression of the socio-political and cultural dimensions of the Korean people. As a paradigm of theology of preaching, this theology will result in contextual preaching. The preachers are also expected to pay attention to the Korean social and cultural context as working theologians. Therefore, they weep, confess, and resist with the community and people in terms of having solidarity against the issues of contextual evil.
