  • For the past several decades, the Korean churches have grown rapidly every year in number. However, facing the new millennium, the Korean churches need to be more matured and renewed for the growth in quality by the training of the congregation to be disciples of Jesus Christ. So, the main focus of this paper is to analyze John Wesley's theological background that made possible his reforming movement, and to investigate the way he developed this tool of renewal, namely, the class meeting. In light of this analysis, the author evaluates whether such a method is still feasible for the contemporary Korean churches today. The project/thesis concluded with recommendations for developing church leadership by suggesting various formats to follow.
