- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to equip a selected group of believers from First Baptist Church, Cold Spring, Kentucky, to conduct an evangelistic project in Campina Grande, Paraiba, Brazil. The project involved research, the development of teaching plans, and evangelism training. The following evaluative measures authenticated the project: (1) expert advice on the research from Dr. Scott Pittman, a Brazilian missionary and Partnership Missions Department Director of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and Rev. Rick Thompson, a career missionary with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, serving in Brazil; (2) training in the development of teaching plans from Dr. James Ramage, an author and professor at Northern Kentucky University; and (3) evaluations by the selected group at the completion of the training sessions. The project director increased his knowledge and skills of how to lead evangelistic projects, how to develop teaching plans, and how to equip a selected group of believers to conduct an evangelistic project in Northeastern Brazil.
