  • The author evaluated the relationship of father/husband leadership style (a composite of vision, values, respect and admiration, innovativeness, shepherd leadership, and servant leadership) with the quality of family life. This was a descriptive case study using data from four married military couples. Husbands and wives responded to questionnaires and an interview designed to measure the father's/husband's leadership style and family life satisfaction. Results showed a positive relationship between leadership dimensions and quality of family life. Higher leadership scores were consistent with an increase in family-life satisfaction.
