Abstract
  • This project proposes a process to increase awareness and engage the need of self-care among African American clergy, testing it with six clergy and pastors--three female, three male--at Covenant United Church of Christ (South Holland, Ill). Participants complete a wellness attitude survey, respond to two sermons on clergy wellness, meet for six feedback sessions, and locate and develop biblical themes for future dialogue about self-care.
