Abstract
  • Renewal of religious life since Vatican II has brought much change, but has it been effective and sufficient? Where do we go from here? By attending to and interacting with the experience and tradition of Marianists, the characteristics of current culture in the United States, and scripture as a rich source of information about Mary, the author hopes to shed light on who Marianists are and what they are called to do in order to rebirth their own particular charism in the United States at the beginning of the 21st century. The image offered for the work is that of a round table around which these partners--culture, tradition, and experience--gather and engage one another in mutual trust and conversation.
