  • Biblical teamwork among the staff and elders can enhance the effectiveness of the ministry in a local church. The author reflects on his own leadership experiences, bibliographic sources, and research interviews with fourteen mega-church senior pastors from across America. The conclusions of this study suggest that biblical teamwork occurs when the cause of Christ is advanced in the contet of loving community. Five key variables impact this teamwork: team selection among both staff and elders, team function (committing to common objectives, setting clear expectations and caring for one another), wise decision-making, communication, and the leadership of the senior pastor.
