  • This project applies J Robert Clinton's theory of leadership development in a local congregation by providing a mentor relationship to nine members in identifying and developing their spiritual gifts. Reflecting on providence and the work of the Holy Spirit in effective ministry, the project addresses concerns related to mentoring, spiritual gifts, involvement, motivation, burnout, fulfillment, and implications for future ministry. Each of the nine protégés participates in one or more ministry projects designed to use his or her God-given gifts, and spiritual development and change occur.
