Abstrato
  • Catechesis is integral to development and maturity of faith. Catechetical efforts involving children (sacramental preparation meetings) serve to present parents of these children with opportunites to deepen their own experiences in religious learning. Adults who so met to discuss past, present, and prospective experiences of religious learning became aware of the connection between their own reception of the sacraments and that anticipated by their children. The sacraments of eucharist and reconciliation help advance adults to maturity in faith. As models for their children, adults employ formational and informational methods of catechesis. Through parents' meetings in the sacraments, adults understand, claim, and express faith in ritual and lived-out experiences.
