This project details ten years of preaching at Hsinyi Presbyterian Church, Hualien, Taiwan. It develops a theology of preaching based on diverse biblical and scholarly resources. It offers an original questionnaire ministers can use in the church in Taiwan to discover the needs of the congregation. The thesis develops two models of preaching with sermons illustrating both models. The thesis argues that needs of people should be identified, preaching should address these needs, and a preacher should remain in close communication with the congregation.
