  • The method of research involved bringing a group of non-literate Christians and Muslims together to study the 'fruit' of the Spirit (Arabic, Fada'il) in both the Qur'an and the Bible. How the individual members of the group understood the terms and how the fruits could be used to bring about reconciliation in the community divided by religio-political conflict were all discussed. At the end of the study, the group agreed to embark on visiting each other, to encourage the youths to do projects together, and also to set up a permanent center for the study of Christian-Muslim relations in order to promote mutual understanding, respect and peaceful coexistence.
