Abstract

The purpose of this project was to equip selected leaders of Woodville Baptist Church, Woodville, Mississippi, with interpersonal conflict resolution skills. Project goals included researching biblical texts and the field of interpersonal conflict to determine skills needed for a healthy approach to interpersonal conflict resolution, developing an equipping module to teach selected skills, and using the equipping module to equip selected leaders. Professional goals for the project included increasing knowledge and understanding of interpersonal conflict and increasing knowledge and skills in adult instructional theory and practice. The project director researched biblical texts and interpersonal conflict. She selected six sets of skills including leadership, communication, biblical resolution, forgiveness, calming response and dealing with antagonists. The project director developed a seven-session equipping module and equipped the leaders with skills for a healthy approach to interpersonal conflict resolution.
