Abstracto

The purpose of this project was to facilitate assessment of missional purpose and consequent missional direction at Sandy Level Baptist Church in Blythewood, South Carolina. The transitional nature of the setting was defined. Project goals, methodology, and limitations were identified. Biblical and theological foundations for the church's mission were evaluated. A statement of mission purpose was adopted. Changes in theological conceptions of the congregation were measured. Perceptions of need by the church and community were analyzed. Eleven strategies for future ministry based upon the mission statement and research data were adopted by the church.
