  • This project will describe and define the characteristics and dynamics of 'community.' The thesis suggests that an authentic experience of 'community' can become a reality as a result of the personal dynamics created within the congregation as well as intentional church programming. A biblical and theological foundation is established, using the Corinthian Christian Church as the primary point of reference. In addition, the pastoral style and authority of the Apostle Paul is used as a source of insight. Finally, implications from the Corinthian Church are suggested for use by contemporary Christian communities.
