Abstract
  • This project is designed as a series of consultant-led and directed workshops to do three things: 1) model the heuristic S, Q, 3-R method of teaching and learning; 2) train congregations, teachers, and leaders for teaching ministry in the church and the world; and 3) customize a teaching ministry plan for the church. The process begins with contextual analysis and theological reflection. Participants then deal with the practical steps which must be taken to conduct effective teaching ministries. Study culminates in developing a plan for teaching ministry. Evaluations indicate positive response to the process. Members take part and express pride in the ministry. Teachers and leaders work consistently. Churches report better attendance, newly formed study groups, and renewed facilities.
