This project was a single case study to draw conclusions about the usefulness of the oral history interview and oral history coding system with a retired ex-military couple. Another goal was to describe key elements that might be used for further research in a pilot study. I used the observational method of qualitative research. I concluded that the oral history interview and oral history coding system are effective ways to provide couples with useable feedback on ten dimensions of satisfaction within their marriage. I also concluded that the oral history interview and oral history coding system and key elements will also prove effective in a pilot study.
