- Abstract
- The purpose of this research ministry project is to enrich congregational worship by enabling laypersons to recognize the value of both structure and spontaneity, order and freedom in worship. The primary task in this ministry setting is to increase the worshiper's understanding that congregational worship can be both structured and spontaneous. The issue is not formality versus informality, but planned worship versus unplanned worship. The research tools utilized in this project were congregational surveys and a structured interview. Congregational feedback sessions and the work of a worship committee were instrumental.
