- This project develops a strategy to improve the assimilation at Calvary baptist Church. Chapter 1 looks at the purpose of this project and presents its goals. It examines Calvary's outreach strategy, new believer assimilation rates, and demographic information relating to the context. Chapter 2 focuses on a biblical and historical foundation for the assimilation of new believers. This chapter identifies what the Bible has to say about assimilation. Chapter 3 looks at assimilation in a postmodern world. It examines what we can learn from the study of postmodernity pertaining to the assimilation of new believers. Chapter 4 unveils the design and implementation of the project. An explanation of the implementation and evaluation of the program have been included. Chapter 5 assesses progress toward assimilating additional new believers at Calvary. It evaluates new believers progress by looking at pretest/posttest results and interview/focus group results.
