- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to create and implement a weekend retreat to help Chinese single parents acknowledge their grief of losing spouses and understand their children's emotional needs. Twenty participants were evaluated by pre-tests, post-tests, follow-up tests, and my personal interviews. The evidence from the results indicates that a weekend retreat not only helped participants to have a better ongoing understanding of their own and their children's emotional needs, but also had a tremendous impact on them, helping them to build a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
