Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to develop a revitalization strategy for Providence Baptist Church, Hatton, Alabama. The project began by researching the internal and external demographics of Providence. Next, extensive research of revitalization principles was conducted through exploring church revitalization literature. The internal and external demographics gave direction on which revitalization principles would be effective in the context of Providence. After selecting the relevant revitalization principles, I convened a strategy team. The selected men and women represented various ministries, personalities, age groups, and spiritual gifts to promote diversity. The strategy team then developed action steps to implement the determined revitalization principles. The final step of this project was to present to the deacon body of Providence Baptist Church for approval.
