Abstract
  • This project was designed to equip older adults to minister in specific ways to other age groups through the life of the congregation of the First Baptist Church of Lamesa, Texas. Fifteen persons, 65 years of age or older, were enlisted in an eleven-week training session designed to equip them for ministry projects of their choosing, to undergird them in ministering through the selected ministry projects, and to guide them in evaluating the projects they selected. The results were older adults found greater fulfillment, the church was strengthened by their involvement in ministry and the leader grew in effectiveness as an equipping pastor.
