  • This project proposes, develops, and tests a course in the history of the black church in America in 23 session of structured experiences with 83 students at Spelman College (Atlanta, Ga). The project prepares and presents a sylllabus, lesson plans, and a worksheet-study guide to lead students to an understanding and appreciation of the black church that counters notions that black Christianity came from white slave masters whose sole aim was to make better slaves.
