Abstrait

Preaching is for the resurrection of society. A preacher needs to be grounded in the following three areas to preach God's living Word effectively: knowledge of scripture, a holistic spirituality, and love for the local community. The theme of resurrection is explored from the vantage-point of those who first encountered it, Jesus' disciples and the early Christian communities, and then from the perspective of twentieth century liberation theology. Knowing a community in which an itinerant preaches is resurrection preaching. The final chapter takes the findings from the previous chapters and puts them into place.
