- The author studied radical, gospel, transformative hospitality of place as a means of revitalizing and reenergizing the church for effective ministry in the community. The purpose of this project was to discover the importance of space in a church's ministry of hospitality. Twenty-four persons from the congregation attended a six-week course during which they completed four assessments that were designed to measure their knowledge and skills in offering hospitality and evaluating the quality of the church's place for extending hospitality. The results confirm the author's supposition that place is as important as people in extending God's welcome.
