- Abstract
- A church can do more than pray and offer financial assistance to persons facing unemployment. The author developed a project that matched six persons in career transition with six encouragers in a structured eight-week relationship that consisted of individual participant/encourager meetings, corporate support meetings, and instructional seminars that addressed physical, emotional, practical, and spiritual issues. All six persons reached their goal of employment or identifying the direction of future employment.
