  • A Roman Catholic perspective on the global women's movement explored through education provides a means for church renewal by raising consciousness and deepening commitment to an inclusive vision of church and forms of ministry based on partnership. Current research indicating areas of convergence between Vatican Council II, the church's social teachings, and the women's movement formed the basis of a semester course for Roman Catholic church professionals participating in a theological sabbatical year. A process of dialogue and theological reflection based on the Sheffield Report led the participants to new consciousness directed toward forming a more inclusive church.
