Abstract
  • The yoked parish of the First Presbyterian Church of Merrill, Wisconsin, and the Riverside Presbyterian Church of Gleason, Wisconsin, can best approach the issue of membership growth by first engaging a process of spiritual growth. Spiritual growth is to be seen as a process of interpreting God's call to this particular community of faith and formulating it in a mission statement. Such a process of discernment and interpretation involves the responsibility of the members to the church body as well as the responsibility of the corporate body to its unique calling.
