Abstrakt

The yoked parish of the First Presbyterian Church of Merrill, Wisconsin, and the Riverside Presbyterian Church of Gleason, Wisconsin, can best approach the issue of membership growth by first engaging a process of spiritual growth. Spiritual growth is to be seen as a process of interpreting God's call to this particular community of faith and formulating it in a mission statement. Such a process of discernment and interpretation involves the responsibility of the members to the church body as well as the responsibility of the corporate body to its unique calling.
