The project investigated effective multiple staff ministries in local parishes with ordained men and ordained women, identifying both pitfalls and benefits compared with single-sex staff. At the heart of the project were on-site focused interviews with seven staffs (one being a married couple), serving in three major Protestant denominations in varying geographic and socio-economic settings in the Northeast. Although the data was insufficient to draw statistical conclusions, data suggested that these ministries can be effective in symbolic value, diversified gifts, and wider specializations.
