  • The thesis is that microcomputer simulations can be a useful means of church education for global awareness and liberation. A microcomputer simulation on hunger was prepared and tested in junion high church school classes. Half the classes used a computerized simulation, half a similar noncomputer simulation. Students and teachers evaluated the simulations. Both groups enjoyed and appreciated the simulations. Students were challenged to think about hunger issues. Teachers found the computerized simulation easy to use and were willing to do other simulations. Computer simulations appear to be as useful as noncomputer simulations and easier for the teacher to use.
