Abstracto

Church members in Hawaii come from many cultural backgrounds and have different expectations for success. These are transferred to the church to determine a successful church. By determining what these expectations are, the pastors and the author could design and modify programs to meet some of these expectations. The major work of the project was done with the pastor and a workshop in each church. The participants in the workshop indicated in various ways their cultural expectations for success. The project discovered different expectations but also considerable unity within each church on their expectations for success.
