  • This project presents two case studies for examination using D W Winnicott's theory of object relations and John Cobb's process theology. It is the thesis of the project to show how the works of these two persons, when correlated, create an effective model for the pastoral counselor. The paper outlines the theory of Winnicott who was a member of the British school of object relations. Winnicott's theory is correlated with the process theology of Cobb to show how these two fields of thought enhance each other and form a helpful model for the pastoral counselor.
